<strong>This</strong> meant to say that, although Jehovah then<br />

caused the active rule of Jerusalem's kings to be<br />

overturned, yet he did not renounce his everlasting<br />

covenant with David for the Kingdom . In due<br />

time the permanent heir of that Kingdom covenant<br />

would come. Then Jehovah would anoint<br />

this Son of David as the rightful Heir and would<br />

give The Theocratic Government to him .<br />

Jehovah God used Nebuchadnezzar king of<br />

Babylon to overturn the Jewish kingdom . <strong>This</strong><br />

took place in 607 B .C. That year, on the 9th day<br />

of the 4th Jewish month or Tammuz 9 , the<br />

Babylonian besiegers breached Jerusalem's walls,<br />

following which King edekiah and his army fled<br />

the city, but only to be captured . Next month, on<br />

Ab 10, corresponding to August 3 to 4 Gregorian<br />

calendar , sundown to sundown, the Babylonians<br />

came and began burning down the temple,<br />

the king's palace and other houses of Jerusalem,<br />

broke down its walls, and took the surviving Jews<br />

captive to carry most of them to Babylon hundreds<br />

of miles away. Later the poor Jews that<br />

were left in the territory became frightened and<br />

some time in the latter half of the seventh Jewish<br />
