9 Accordingly, after David's death, the line of
David went on ruling at Jerusalem . "Then Solomon
sat on the throne of Jehovah as king instead
of David his father, and prospered ; and all
Israel obeyed him." Because the Judean king was
merely a representative of the real invisible Ruler
Jehovah God, it was a Theocratic kingdom . Solomon
was the wisest of the human kings of Israel
and he built the glorious temple at Jerusalem .
During his years of faithful reigning he brought
great peace and prosperity to the nation. Like
under the coming kingdom of God, the Israelites
were as the sand of the seashore for number and
ate and drank to their heart's content and enjoyed
themselves, every man sitting safely under
his own vine and fig tree . Hence Solomon, the
direct natural son of David, was used to prefigure
the Greater than Solomon, the royal Seed of
God's "woman", the permanent Kingdom Heir.
