not justified by faith like Abraham could never
be rightly called part of Abraham's seed . This
is necessary, too, for them to gain everlasting life,
for God will never give the gift of eternal life to
anyone except to a person justified or declared
righteous by faith in God and through Christ .
6 That is not our interpretation of this vital arrangement,
but God's . Through his inspired apostle
Jehovah showed that this was the way the blessings
of the Abrahamic promise would begin and
that Abraham's Seed of blessing was primarily
Jesus Christ . God had all this interpretation put in
sacred Scripture for our education . "Surely you
know that those who adhere to faith are the ones
who are sons of Abraham . Now the Scripture,
seeing in advance that God would declare people of
the nations righteous due to faith, declared the good
news beforehand to Abraham, namely : By means
of you all the nations will be blessed .' Consequently,
those who adhere to faith are being blessed together
with faithful Abraham . Now the promises
were spoken to Abraham and to his seed . It says,
not, And to seeds,' as in the case of many such,
but as in the case of one, And to your seed,' who
is Christ . Moreover, if you belong to Christ, you
are really Abraham's seed, heirs with reference to
a promise ." Galatians 3 :7-9, 16, 29, NW It is an
unspeakable blessing to become a part of the seed
of Abraham with Christ Jesus . All the seed of
Abraham must first be produced before the blessings
promised can go to mankind in general .
6. To whom does the blessing of the promise go first?
Why so?
