Jehovah is not an unconscious quiescent God . He
is "the living God", and the gift - which he gives to
human creatures who want to escape from the
undersirable conditions of existence in this present
evil world is perfect life everlasting in a righteous
new world .

The crushing of the Serpent's head by the
Seed of God's "woman" means the deliverance of
mankind from the domination of the great enemy
of life . It means for them an opportunity for everlasting
life in a new world. It means a lasting
blessing from God through his promised Seed .
His Edenic promise of the Seed links up with his
promise made over two thousand years later to
an earthly friend, Abraham the Hebrew . Showing
that the Seed for bringing blessing to men was
to come through this man of faith, Jehovah said :
"I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless
thee, and make thy name great ; and thou shalt be
a blessing : and I will bless them that bless thee,
and curse him that curseth thee : and in thee
shall all families of the earth be blessed ." Genesis
12 :2,3 Both of these promises were Jehovah's
irretractable declarations of his purpose to
destroy all wickedness and its evil results and to
bless all families of the earth .
