HOW LONG DO YOU
CHOOSE TO LIVE?
EVERY intelligent creature or. earth must determine
his own destiny. Now at the consummation
of this system of things when
the judgment of the nations is under way and the
separating of the sheep and the goats with opposite
destinies is nearing a conclusion, yes, now
is the urgent time to make your determination .
The question becomes quite pertinent, How long
do you choose to live? You can choose to live forever
in a perfect new world of righteousness, by
virtue of God's gift of everlasting life through
Jesus Christ our Lord, and not by virtue of any
inborn immortality of the human soul . Before you
heard of this gracious gift which he offers, you
could not accept it . But now that you have heard
of it and the terms on which it is offered, you can
gratefully arrange and strive to meet the terms
and so make the gift your own . By doing this you
help to prove that such undeserved kindness of
God was not spent in vain, and you have a precious
part in vindicating his universal sovereignty .
2 Do not be anxious about your life in this world
and make it your chief concern . Do not be driven
1 . a Why is it now a pertinent question, How long do
you choose to live? b For how long can you choose
to live, and on what basis?
2 . Why not make this life our chief concern? What
parable of Jesus should we take to heart?
