as God foresaw something better for us, in
order that they might not be made perfect apart

11 That "something better" for the apostle Paul
and his spiritual brothers is the heavenly kingdom,
with glory, honor and incorruptibleness. Confirmatory
of this Jesus said : "Among those born
of women there has not been raised up a greater
than John the Baptist ; but a person that is a lesser
one in the kingdom of the heavens is greater
than him . From the days of John the Baptist until
now the kingdom of the heavens is the goal toward
which men press, and those pressing forward
are seizing it." Matthew 11 :11,12, NW
From John the Baptist, who died more than a
year before the Pentecostal outpouring of spirit,
back to the first martyr Abel, none of the faithful
ancients received the fulfillment of the promise
of being blessed by the Seed with Kingdom
opportunities . So they had no opportunity to press
toward the Kingdom at Jesus' invitation and to
seize it by their faithfulness. Their blessings will
all be of an earthly kind in Paradise under the
kingdom of heaven ; and naturally, then, the least
member of the heavenly Kingdom will be greater
