2 When Jesus Christ first came to establish his
perpetual right as the Heir of the covenant for the
Kingdom, it did not interfere with the course of
the appointed times of the nations . The worldly
powers executed him as a seditionist a g ain s t
Caesar. This disposed of Jesus' ruling as a man
on earth. After running the full length of "seven
times", or 2,520 years from 607 B .C ., these "appointed
times of the nations" expired in October,
A.D . 1914. See Chapter VI, pages 59-70 . Does
that mean Satan's world ended in 1914? No ; no
more than Satan's world first began with the start
of the times of the nations . But events of that
year definitely marked the beginning of the end
for Satan's world . Therefore what began in 1914
was the "time of the end" . "To the time of the
end : because it is yet for a time appointed," says
Daniel's prophecy . So Jehovah God appointed unchangeably
when the "time of the end" should begin,
namely, at the close of the appointed times of
the nations in 1914 .-Daniel 11 :35,40 ; 12 :4, 9.
3 The "time of the end" covers a period of time
from 1914 until Satan's world is destroyed ; and
Jesus spoke of it as the "consummation of the
