So let us not presume on God's mercy to the
point of willfully trying to abuse it . But as we
expect God's mercy, let us be merciful to others .
"Happy are the merciful, since they will be shown
mercy." Matthew 5 :7, NW One way to display
mercy and put up a good fight for the pure Godgiven
faith is to build up one another on our most
holy faith, praying in full harmony with the holy
spirit that we may not enter into temptation
through weakness of the flesh . We ourselves hate
an inner garment or inner self that is stained up
by sinful flesh. Yet we must mercifully endeavor
to rescue anyone we see in the congregation yielding
to enticement and staining his garment of
Christian identification by fleshly passions . Since
we have once died to sin through Christ, we can
no more live to it and become its slave again .

If any member of the congregation sins in a
personal way against us, we will seek to keep on
brotherly terms with the sinner and keep the
peace and unity of the congregation . To that end
we will not advertise his sin against us by gossiping
or by other publicity, but we will try to make
it easier for him to recover from his sin, by keep-
