wants to be a preacher of good news as freely and
as fully as possible should marry or remarry . If,
through weakness in an immoral worldly society,
a single or widowed person is subject to attacks
of passion, such one might consider marriage as a
safeguard. Says Paul : "It is well for them that
they remain even as I am . But if they do not have
self-control, let them marry, for it is better to
marry than to be inflamed with passion ." 1 Corinthians
7 :8, 9, NW But by prayerfully applying
himself to the things that keep his mind off
marriage and sexual relations a Christian can
cultivate the gift of singleness and make himself
a eunuch for the interests of the New World . As to
the inadvisability of marrying in this world Jesus
said : "Not all men make room for the saying, but
only those who have the gift. For . . . there are
eunuchs that have made themselves eunuchs because
of the kingdom of the heavens . Let him
that can make room for it make room for it ."
