the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to
observe all the things I have commanded you."
Matthew 15 :24 and 28 :19,20, NW Jesus went
out to the people with God's message . He went
not only to the synagogues and temple, where he
accepted invitations to preach to the crowds, but
for a large part to the homes of the people . All
comers to him he considered his congregation,
also all people with whom he came in touch,
whether singly or in groups . Anywhere and
everywhere he preached, by wellside, seaside,
mountainside, in the lonely wilderness, in populous
city streets, in public temple and synagogue
and in private home. And he never embarrassed
his audience with holding out a money-itching
palm or passing the collection plate under their
noses .
14 Jesus' example shows where God's organized
preachers of good news are to find their congregation
today. They must bring increase of fruitage
to God and must expand their congregation . This
they do largely or for most of the time by going
daily to the private homes of all people, regardless
of religion, race, color, occupation or station
in life, political persuasion, or language . Paul, who
copied Jesus, did so : "I did not hold back from
telling you any of the things that were profitable
nor from teaching you publicly and from house
