If Transmission Oil is not periodically replaced, damage may occur. Case Examples: Gears Pitching Scoring CAUSE Lubricant deterioration can severely lower the protection normally provided to contact surfaces with the result that they are liable to becoming depressed and peeled. The resulting contamination from particles accumulating in the lubricant can result in scratches and impressions leading to the occurrence of pitching. CAUSE Scoring occurs when lubricant deterioration severely lowers the protection provided when extreme-pressure occurs so that there is direct contact between the metals. Bearings Flaking CAUSE Lubricant deterioration lowers the protective performance when revolving surfaces come into contact. The resulting contamination from particles accumulating in the lubricant can result in the occurrence of pitching. Oil CAUSE Water contamination generates a whitish Emulsion. As the amount of Emulsion increases, it is liable to become Sludge that can possibly clog the Hydraulic Filter. Emulsion As the replacement interval for Transmission Oil is liable to differ according to model, please refer to the appropriate operator’s manual provided. Kubota recommends the use of Kubota UDT-Series Transmission Oil as the ideal match for Kubota tractors. For more information, please visit your nearest Kubota Dealer. – 28 –
