Red Butte‐Harry Allen 345 kV line, Harry Allen 345 kV phase shifting and
345/230 kV transformers. Metering point is at the NV‐UT state line.
North to South: 400 MW
South to North: 580 MW
Non-simultaneous: Steady state operating limit of Red Butte SVS prior to
June 2015.
Simultaneous: Intermountain‐Adelanto 500 kV bi‐pole DC line outage.
Rating were established in Gateway South TOT 2B/2C Path Rating Study
Report approved by WECC on June 21, 2011.
Ratings determined for peak summer and off peak conditions with maximum
simultaneous TOT 2B/2C flows and near maximum overall TOT 2 flow
conditions.

None. However, Huntington generator tripping for heavy Red Butte area load
conditions with maximum simultaneous TOT 2B1 and TOT 2C transfers and
loss of Sigurd Three Peaks or Three Peaks Red Butte 345 kV line.
TOT 2C export vs. Intermountain‐Mona 345 kV line imports nomogram per
most recent Summer Operating Limit (SOL) Study.
PacifiCorp/NV Energy
Gateway South TOT 2B/2C Path Rating Study demonstrated interaction with
TOT 2B1, TOT 2B2, and IPPDC line under moderate to heavy IPPDC
imports. Previous COI studies have identified interaction with TOT 2.
