Digital Right Management (DRM) is the field for protecting<br />
digital contents (music, video, books, reports, etc.) from<br />
being stolen <strong>and</strong> reproduced (piracy) without consent<br />
from the copyright owners<br />
A violation example is the Napster incident by allowing<br />
people to download MP3 music files from third party<br />
sources who are not aware of the violations .<br />
Need DRM infrastructure at service providers, at large<br />
organizations or enterprises. Several commercial<br />
packages (MediaDRM from EnScaler, SeaChange,<br />
Microsoft Media Server, etc.) are available, but are not<br />
totally effective to cope with the problem<br />
