TITAN BRAKES<br />
TITAN MANUFACTURES BRAKES FOR:<br />
- <strong>Trailer</strong>s towed by tongue or tow-bar.<br />
- Self-propelled industrial vehicles and carts.<br />
- Industrial machines and equipment that require brakes.<br />
- <strong>Titan</strong> brakes are hydraulically operated by one of two means. They<br />
are motivated by the surge, or inertia of the trailer or electric over<br />
hydraulic.<br />
- <strong>Titan</strong> surge brakes require no connection to the towing vehicle other<br />
than ball or clevis hitch. They operate automatically by the “PUSH” of<br />
the trailer against the towing vehicle and are applied in direct<br />
relationship to the deceleration rate of the towing vehicle.<br />
- Corrosion resistant marine braking systems available<br />
(see PREMIER BRAKES on page 60 for details).<br />
<strong>Brake</strong> Features:<br />
- The trailer brakes are available on systems where surge, hydraulic<br />
and mechanical control is desired.<br />
- In addition to the hydraulic controls, a separate cable (2385200) may<br />
be purchased to provide a parking brake. (see page 44)<br />
- Free backing brakes are not effective if the trailer is moving in reverse<br />
during breakaway.<br />
