Better Than Galvanized<br />
First, the backing plate and shoe levers are sealed using an<br />
electrocoat primer - a patented process that actually uses<br />
electricity to permanently bond the paint to the surface of the<br />
parts - then the backing plates receive an additional coat of<br />
rugged acrylic making them virtually corrosion-proof. The wheel<br />
cylinders are treated with hot black oxide, and the internal<br />
components are zinc, olive drab plated. Stainless steel springs<br />

The result is a marine brake so resistant to corrosion, even<br />
after 1,000 hours in metal-dissolving salt spray, the Galphorite<br />
