Geospatial Information Systems Science is one of the<br />

fastest growing industries in the world today. While the<br />

rest of the technology sector has been working to<br />

recover from economic hardships, the GIS industry has<br />

grown to a $30 billion per year enterprise and whose<br />

influence and utility is creating a symbiotic relationship<br />

and integration throughout industry, business, and<br />

government. This certificate is designed to introduce the<br />

students to various scientific theoretical aspects<br />

associated with this field and prepare them to enter this<br />

exciting field as a technician. There is also a “hands on”<br />
