OBJECTIVE: Completion of all the requirements in the Intersegmental General Education undergraduate Transfer admissions Curriculum information (IGETC) will and permit applications a student for to<br />

transfer from a community college to a campus in either the California State University or the University of California system without the need,<br />

U.C.<br />

after transfer, to take additional lower-division general education courses to satisfy campus general education requirements.<br />

EXCEPTIONS: All campuses will accept IGETC except UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and UC San Diego's Roosevelt and Revelle <strong>College</strong>s.<br />

Also, IGETC is not recommended for science, engineering, or other high unit majors at most campuses. These students should follow the<br />

general education pattern of the specific campus which they plan to attend. Visit assist.org for more information.<br />

CERTIFICATION: All areas of the IGETC should be certified prior to transfer. Partial certification may be awarded if all but two (2) courses in any<br />

areas except Group 1 and 2 are completed. Students are responsible for requesting IGETC certification by completing the REQUEST FOR<br />

CERTIFICATION OF TRANSFER GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS form from Counseling.<br />

Each course must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.<br />
