Student Registration Priorities
In addition to EOPS, DSPS (Disabled students), and
Military Veterans, recent legislation has granted two new
groups of students priority registration.
1. Foster Youth and former Foster Youth (Ed Code
66025.9)
Effective January 1, 2012, foster youth and former
foster youth (defined as an emancipated foster youth
up to and including age 24) will be included in priority
registration. Verified documentation is required.
2. Active duty military members (Ed code 66025.8)
Current active duty members of the military will be
included in Priority Registration. Previous legislation
granted priority registration to Military Veterans who
have received an honorable discharge, general
discharge or other than honorable discharge. A copy
of official military orders or DD214 required.
To ensure open access to classes for students on a firstcome,
first-served basis, students are scheduled for
registration based on the following priority:
1. EOPS/Disabled students, Military Veterans, active
members of the military, foster youth, and former
foster youth.
