FIRE 66 Introduction to Incident Command 1.0 units<br />

FIRE 69 Building Construction for Fire 3.0 units<br />

FIRE 82A Hazardous Materials First 1.5 units<br />

Responder<br />

EMS 50 Emergency Medical Responder 2.5 units<br />

EMS 60 Emergency Medical Technician 9.0 units<br />

*Courses numbered below 50 do not apply to the<br />

Units Required: 32.0<br />

FIRE FIGHTER CERTIFICATE<br />

Awarded to the student who successfully completes the<br />

following course of study to meet the minimum<br />

qualifications and competencies as required by National<br />

Fire Protection Association and California State Fire<br />

Marshal’s Fire Fighter I certification program.<br />

All of the following must be completed:<br />

FIRE 100 Fire Protection Organization 3.0<br />

FIRE 101 Fundamentals of Fire Service<br />

Operations 3.0<br />

FIRE 102 Fire Prevention Technology 3.0<br />

FIRE 103 Fire Protection Equipment and<br />

Systems 3.0<br />

FIRE 104 Fire Behavior and Combustion 3.0<br />

FIRE 82A Hazardous Materials First<br />

Responder 1.5<br />

FIRE 81 Emergency Medical Technician 9.0<br />

OR EMS 60 Emergency Medical Technician I<br />

(Ambulance)<br />

FIRE 95 Basic Fire Academy 10.0<br />

FIRE COMPANY OFFICER CERTIFICATE<br />

Units Required: 64.5 units minimum<br />

Awarded to the individual who has successfully<br />

completed all requirements for certification by the State<br />

Fire Marshal’s Office for Fire Officer. Meets entry<br />

requirements for firefighters to the middle and upper<br />

level management positions within the agency.<br />
