AUTO 67.0 HEAVY DUTY TRUCK AIR BRAKES<br />

Units: 4.0 - 48-54 hours lecture and 48-54 hours<br />

laboratory. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course covers the techniques used by the trucking<br />

industry to diagnose and repair heavy duty truck air<br />

brake systems. Instruction will cover theory, inspection,<br />

maintenance, and repair of air brake systems.<br />

AUTO 68.0 HEAVY DUTY TRUCK HYDRAULIC<br />

BRAKES<br />

Units: 4.0 - 48-54 hours lecture and 48-54 hours<br />

laboratory. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course covers the techniques used by the trucking<br />

industry to diagnose and repair heavy duty truck<br />

hydraulic brake systems. Instruction will cover theory,<br />

inspection, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic brake<br />

systems.<br />

AUTO 70.0 SMALL ENGINE REPAIR<br />

Units: 4.0 - 48-54 hours lecture and 48-54 hours<br />

laboratory.(No prerequisite)<br />

This class covers the fundamentals of small internal<br />

combustion engines and their uses in various forms of<br />

equipment and light vehicles. Topics covered will<br />

include, but not limited to, theory of small internal<br />

combustion engines, troubleshooting, repair and small<br />

engine applications.<br />

AUTO 71.0 MOTORCYCLE ENGINE REPAIR<br />

Units: 4.0 - 48-54 hours lecture and 48-54 hours<br />

laboratory. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course provides the student with the knowledge<br />

necessary to diagnose and repair motorcycle<br />

engines/transmissions. Information covered will include<br />

engine diagnosis, disassembly and inspection, valve<br />

reconditioning, bearing replacement, piston and ring<br />

service, and engine reassembly.<br />

AUTO 72L MOTORCYCLE LABORATORY<br />

Units: 1.0 - 48-54 hours laboratory. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course may be taken four times.<br />

A laboratory class to develop skills in motorcycle engine<br />

repair, tune up, and general maintenance procedures.<br />

AUTO 73.0 MOTORCYCLE SERVICE TUNE UP AND<br />

MAINTENANCE<br />

Units: 4.0 - 48-54 hours lecture and 48-54 hours<br />

laboratory. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course provides the student with the knowledge<br />

necessary to perform motorcycle tune up and<br />

maintenance. Information covered will include chassis<br />

and suspension systems, servicing schedules and<br />

procedures, tire care, tune up schedules and<br />

procedures, wheel balancing, truing and balancing,<br />

brake systems, clutch systems, drive systems, general<br />

shop procedures and service writing.<br />

AUTO 74.0 MOTORCYCLE FUEL AND EMISSION<br />

SYSTEMS REPAIR<br />

Units: 4.0 - 48-54 hours lecture and 48-54 hours<br />

laboratory. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course provides the student with the knowledge<br />

necessary to diagnose and repair motorcycle fuel and<br />

emission systems. Information covered will include a<br />

study of carburetor types, construction and operating<br />

principles, fuel injection principles, supercharging and<br />

turbocharging principles, two and four stroke motorcycle<br />

exhaust principles, motorcycle emission control<br />

principles, diagnosis and repair, fuel and emission<br />

system performance analysis.<br />

AUTO 75.0 MOTORCYCLE ELECTRICAL AND<br />

IGNITION SYSTEMS REPAIR<br />

Units: 4.0 - 48-54 hours lecture and 48-54 hours<br />

laboratory. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course provides the student with the knowledge<br />

necessary to diagnose and repair motorcycle ignition<br />

and electrical systems. Information covered will include<br />

electrical theory; motorcycle electrical circuitry and<br />

wiring schematics; electrical component identification,<br />

diagnosis and repair; motorcycle ignition systems<br />

identification, diagnosis and repair; ignition system<br />

performance analysis.<br />

AUTO 77 AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WRITING AND<br />

SHOP MANAGER<br />

Units: 3.0 - 48-54 hours lecture. (No prerequisite)<br />

This course prepares students to manage an<br />

automotive repair shop. Topics covered include work<br />

order preparation, parts and labor estimating, parts<br />

ordering, office and shop organization, writing a legal<br />

work order, sales skills, and customer relations.<br />

AUTO 77.1 AUTOMOTIVE LEADERSHIP AND TEAM<br />

BUILDING<br />

Units: 3.0 - 48-54 hours lecture. (No prerequisite.<br />

Grade Option)<br />

This course provides the student with the knowledge<br />

necessary to successfully build a functional automotive<br />

team and be an effective automotive team leader.<br />

Topics covered will include automotive industry team<br />

development, recruitment and retention of team<br />

members. The course will also cover automotive<br />
