Madd Gear is the premier action sports brand with the Best Products, Top Riders, and a
Global Fan Base. We are headquartered in Australia, where Freestyle Scooters first gained
public acceptance, and have grown the sport and our brand around the globe with offices
in the USA, UK, Europe and Japan.

FREESTYLE SCOOTERING:
WHAT IS IT?:
Freestyle Scootering is taking all the tricks from BMX and Skateboarding, and doing them
on a Freestyle Scooter. Freestyle Scooter Riders have also developed tricks specific to
the scooter that other sports cannot duplicate. The sport necessitates stronger equipment
that does not fold and wheels with alloy hubs to withstand the tricks the riders perform.
GROWTH OF THE SPORT:
Freestyle Scootering first achieved public acceptance in Australia in the mid-2000’s. From
there, the sport grew in popularity in the UK and Europe. Around 2010, the sport began to
take hold in the USA. Over the last 3 years, the sport has grown exponentially across the
USA and Canada, with hundreds of skate parks opening their facilities to scooter riders.
We have already opened an office in Japan/Asia, and expect to see the sport take hold in
Central/South America and Africa in the next year or so.

MADD GEAR: PIONEER
AUSTRALIA:
Madd Gear released the first “Madd Gear Pro” scooter in Australia in 2004. Mike Horne,
the founder of Madd Gear, designed the scooter after watching a group of kids try to ride
foldable scooters at a local skate park. Madd Gear continued to improve on the design
through the help of both riders and designers and became the top Freestyle Scooter
company in the world.
THE WORLD:
As Freestyle Scootering began to develop in other countries, Madd Gear led the way,
expanding our operations at just the right time to provide quality products to all riders.
USA:
In 2009, Madd Gear sent Team MGP Australia to the San Diego, CA to compete in SD7; the
largest North American Scooter Competition, and to tour the West Coast. Following that
tour, the company incorporated in the USA and introduced the first locally available Madd
Gear Pro Scooters during Christmas, 2010.
Over the last 3 years, Madd Gear has led the industry in expanding the sport throughout
the USA, growing the industry to more than 10 times its size in 2010.

TEAM MGP (MADD GEAR PRO):
ABOUT:
Madd Gear maintains the largest team of Professional Freestyle Scooter Riders. Each
office sponsors between 4 and 10 riders and these riders attend contests, put on events,
and go on tours, demonstrating the sport of Freestyle Scootering.
TEAM MGP USA:
Team MGP USA is composed of top Freestyle Scooter Professional Riders from across
the USA and Canada. Our Team tours the USA every summer and put on several events
throughout the year. In 2012, the team held more than 40 events and attended 15 contests.

Massachusetts, and New Hampshire
• Deep West Tour: California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona
• Northern Exposure Tour CANADA: Alberta, Quebec, and Ontario

• Team Manager
• Age: 24
• Location: San Clemente, CA
• OG Freestyle Scooter Rider with over 8 years of experience in the sport.
A legend among the fans and the “Face” of Madd Gear USA
JEREMY BEAU
• Age: 17
• Location: Murrieta, CA
• “Mr. Octiwhip”; Jeremy currently holds the world record for most tailwhips: 8!!
Amazing rider with a “SoCal” easy-going attitude. Jeremy is also a talented
skateboarder and a previous poster-boy for RipStick.
CHRIS VINCENT
• Age: 16
• Location: Menifee, CA
• Talented up-and-coming rider with a style all his own. Great personality and love of the
sport - rides daily with Jeremy Beau
DEREK SEAY
• Age: 16
• Location: Chandler, AZ
• “Ginger Storm” is a no-holds-barred rider unafraid to stick it out to get the shot or pull
the trick. He is currently the TOP rider in Arizona and also the in-house Scootering
Instructor at AZ Grind in Mesa, AZ. Derek also rides BMX Park.

EAST COAST:
COLLIN DASILVA
• Age: 18
• Location: Jackson, NJ
• Collin is one of the most popular and well-known riders on the East Coast. He has won
more contests than any other rider around him and continues to do amazing things on
his scooter. Talent, pure talent.
PETER JUNGSBERGER
• Age: 17
• Location: Toms River, NJ
• Won 4th place at SD7; the largest Freestyle Scooter contest in the North America,
where many international riders go to get noticed. Peter is an easy-going guy who
smiles easily and instructs kids in scootering at The Incline Club in Lakewood, NJ.
GUS RYMER
• Age: 16
• Location: Southold, NY (Long Island)
• Won 5th place at SD7; the largest Freestyle Scooter contest in North America. Gus is
active at school as well, participating in band and cross country. He is also an
accomplished skateboarder.

CANADA:
JORDIE ROBINSON
• Age: 18
• Location: Newmarket, ON
• TOP Canadian Rider. Jordie has several first place wins to his name and leads the
movement in Canada.
PAUL CARLSON
• Age: 18
• Location: Keswick, ON
• Talented rider from Canada with several podium placements at local contests. Paul just
loves to ride.
