From the Desk of the PTA President...

PTA President
hope you all had a wonderful holiday
I and I wish you a Happy 2013!
Welcome back to school.
Although we’ve turned the corner and
are quickly heading toward the last half
of the school year – there is no rest for
the weary! The teachers and PTA still
have many educational and fun activities
scheduled for our children: International
Days welcomes the sights, sounds
and tastes of France from April 17-19;
After School Clubs will have kids exploring
new and interesting subjects and
activities; move over America’s Got Talent-
Paxtonia’s Talent Show will knock
your socks off; our Bingo Nights always
hold a lot of fun for families; and we
can’t forget all the festivities that will
soon go along with our May Fair and
graduating 5 th grade class.
There are many committees to be part
of and volunteer for in the next several
months. Our website has a list of committee
chairmen. If you haven’t had a
chance to volunteer and would like to
help, please contact a committee chairman
or one of our Board members.
Before the festivities begin in 2013, I’d
like to congratulate the winners of our
Next PTA Meeting Monday, January 7th
Reflections Program who were recognized
at a program on December 6 and
thank members of the Santa’s Workshop
Committee and the many volunteers
that made that event a success.
Congratulations to our music staff and
all the students who participated in chorus,
band and/or orchestra – the Winter
Concert was a great beginning to the
holiday season. I’d also like to thank
Cathy Agostino for the seamless organizing
of Santa’s visit to all the classrooms.
If you haven’t had an opportunity to
attend a PTA meeting, I hope you make
this one of your New Year’s Resolutions.
Our next meeting is Monday, January
7 th at 7 p.m.
Mustangs Making a Difference
ur Children at Paxtonia helped to
O brighten up some faces during the
Holiday season by donating items that
were needed for the "Sandy victims"
through "Mission Central".
They were all so very grateful and
blessed for the giving hearts of our Paxtonia
children.
Race for Education Prizes
e hope everyone had a wonderful
holiday break. All of our RFE
W
prizes are in and will be handed out to
the students during the first week of
January. We will also be drawing names
for a family four pack of Harrisburg Senators
tickets, a family four pack for
Meadow's Mini-Golf, and two Toys R' Us
gift cards. Everyone who was kind
enough to donate postage stamps or
money for postage stamps will be entered
into a drawing for Red Lobster gift
cards. The student in each grade level
who brought in the most labels by September
17th will be treated to a pizza
Thanks again for
making this a better
community.
A HUGE Thank You to the Kindergarteners,
First graders and Second graders for
decorating the Christmas tree that was in
the lobby. It looked GREAT!!!!!

Dental Care Kits

axtonia Elementary School would
like to thank Dr. Steven Deets and
Associates of Paxton Family Dental
(5690 Allentown Blvd) for very generously
donating dental care kits that have
been distributed to all Paxtonia students.
North Pole News
anta’s workshop took place on Friday

workshop. A great time was had by
all!.
Science Night
ark your calendars for Paxtonia’s
M 2013 Science Night being held on
Friday, February 8th from 7:00 – 8:30pm.
Come experience the new and improved
Science Night 3D. This year's Science
Night has many new exciting exhibits and
experiments.
SunnyD Book Spree
o
nce again we will be collecting
SunnyD UPC codes. A collection
box is located in the main lobby and on
the cafeteria stage. This year, let's try
and earn new books for every classroom.
