Configuring Auto Queue Creation for Sonic
Note
If you would like to enable auto queue creation in Sonic, you must modify the naming
service of the partition in the partition's partition.xml file to set the jns.auto-createqueues
property as follows:

-

With the jns.auto-create-queues property set, when the DAR is deployed, it will create
the queues.
BES uses a utility for auto queue creation. However, this utility uses the default values
for the JMS server in the deployed DAR file. If your JMS server is different from the
default one, you can configure Sonic to auto create queues by editing the partitionserver.config
file located in /var/domains/base/configurations/
/mos//adm/properties/partition-server.config.
The changes to this file will apply to the specific partition only.
1 Switch to the Installation view in the BES Management console by clicking on the
Installation icon in the leftmost pane.
2 Navigate to the partition for which you want to make the change.
3 Click on the partition name. The General Properties page for the partition will open
in the right pane. Click on the Files tab at the bottom of the right pane. This will open
the partition-server.config file in the right pane.
4 Scroll to the end of the file and enter the following for only the properties you want to
change:
vmprop =
You can do this for any of the following 5 properties:
Property
sonicmq.domainName
sonicmq.brokerURL
sonicmq.user
sonicmq.pwd
sonicmq.brokerName
Default Value
domain1
tcp://localhost:2506
Administrator
Administrator
/Brokers/Broker1
5 Save your edits by clicking on the Save button.
6 Restart the partition.
