Chamber Artists
Making a return visit to WFMT’s
Levin Studio under the leadership of
artistic director and pianist Patrick
Godon, the ICA brings a program
featuring harp music. The group’s
harpist, Marguerite Lynn Williams,
is also a member of the Lyric Opera
Orchestra. The ICA will present works
featuring harp by Saint-Saens, Marcel
Tournier, and American composerconductor
Stephen Kleiman, plus
an early chamber-music rarity by

A New Season of
Rush Hour Concerts
Rush Hour creative director Deborah
Sobol says: “I am pleased to welcome
the Männerstimmen Basel (Men’s
Choir of Basel), prizewinners in the
International Choral Competition in
Cork, Ireland, for their Rush Hour
debut [July 10]. And we are very
excited to launch the production of
Lyric Shorts, operatic ‘trailers’ of two
of Lyric Opera’s 2012-13 productions,
Don Pasquale [July 31] and Hansel
and Gretel [August 28], featuring
members of the Patrick G. and Shirley
W. Ryan Opera Center.” The June
Rush Hour performances feature two
brass concerts, the innovative Fifth
House Ensemble, and a celebration of
the John Cage centenary from Third
Coast Percussion. Dennis Moore
hosts WFMT’s live broadcasts from
St. James Episcopal Cathedral.
