Solidification, fluid-flow, heat transfer and modulus
theory are the general principles of the course. Feed bar
sizing as a result of solidification flow patterns, gate size
and design based on fluid dynamics are incorporated
into this practical hands-on course.
Course Location details and hotel group rate will be
provided upon registration. Room block release date is
2 weeks prior to course.

Bring along to course if available: wax patterns/
scrap castings and parts that have gating
problems. You will need a calculator to work the
Gating System Calculations.
Continuing Education: Upon successful completion of the
course, CMI students will receive a certificate awarding 1.1
CEUs. The CEU (Continuing Education Unit) is a nationally
recognized unit of measure for continuing education and training
programs that meet certain criteria.
Tax Deduction of Expenses: An income tax deduction is allowed
