Letter of Intent to Apply for Research Awards

Eligibility for the Scholar Award in Neuroradiology Research and Comparative Effectiveness
Research Award: Candidates must be members of the ASNR with an MD or DO degree, and must be
board-certified or board-eligible in Radiology by either the American Board of Radiology or the Canadian
equivalent. A candidate must have completed a residency in diagnostic radiology. Junior faculty are
encouraged to apply.
While under the auspices of the Foundation Research Award, the candidate must be in an approved
fellowship program or be serving as a faculty member in neuroradiology. The candidate must be under
the direct supervision of an ASNR Senior Member, who is willing to act as mentor and project supervisor.
Eligibility for the Research Scientist Award: Only PhD scientists and candidates who are members of
the ASNR are eligible to apply for this award.
While under the auspices of the Foundation Research Award, the candidate must be serving as a
postdoctoral fellow or faculty member in a department with an approved neuroradiology program.
Postdoctoral fellows must be under the direct supervision of an ASNR Senior Member, who is willing to
act as mentor and project supervisor.

Letter of Intent Submission Deadline is 9:00 AM Central Daylight Time (CDT),
November 1, 2012.
Letter must be submitted via e-mail (in .pdf or .doc format) to Stephanie Walsh at The
Foundation of the ASNR: foundationawards@asnr.org
On the subject line of e-mail submissions, indicate: Scholar Award Letter of Intent
Submission, Comparative Effectiveness Research Award Letter of Intent Submission,
or Research Scientist Award Letter of Intent Submission.
Applicants will receive an e-mail acknowledgement from Stephanie Walsh, upon receipt of
submission. Applicants who are selected to submit a full proposal will receive a follow-up email
invitation.
