Serving the nation is an honour every eligible person aspires to do. The training is tough<br />
and the discipline demanding in such an environment despite every care and precaution,<br />
accidents can happen.<br />
<strong>AIA</strong> is proud to launch this comprehensive Personal Accident Protection Plan for military<br />
personnel.<br />
Who is covered?<br />
Anyone in the military force can apply for this plan. The premium payable will be according<br />
to your vocation and <strong>coverage</strong> can be extended to administrative staff and all the way to<br />
commandos and fighter pilots.<br />
When are you covered*?<br />
The plan covers you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, against almost every kind of accident,<br />
whether during sporting activities or vacation, military training or exercises, travelling in<br />
buses, MRT or military trucks and transport planes. There is no geographical limit and<br />
<strong>coverage</strong> is therefore extended to overseas military training.<br />
It provides you with worldwide protection, 24 hours a day.<br />
What losses are not covered*?<br />
Losses not covered are those resulting from war; violation of the law; intentional self-injury<br />
or suicide; child birth or pregnancy; sickness or disease and professional sports. For full<br />
list of exclusions, please refer to policy contract.<br />

• Cover for loss as a result of an accident when travelling as a passenger on a commercial<br />
airline as well as on a recognized government military air transport<br />
• Option to select the appropriate sum assured ranging from S$30,000 to S$200,000<br />
• 5% renewal bonus of the Principal Sum for a maximum of 5 years<br />
* There are certain conditions whereby the benefits under this plan will not be payable.<br />

Permanent Total Disability<br />
Percentage of Principal Sum payable for Permanent Disability not set forth in the above<br />
schedule shall in its absolute discretion be determined by the Company.<br />
If the Assured is left-handed, the percentage of the various disabilities of right hand and<br />
left hand will be transposed.<br />
Medical Reimbursement (Accident)<br />
If by reason of injury arising while the Assured is not performing any military duty<br />
whatsoever, the company will pay the actual medical expenses incurred within 52 weeks<br />
from date of the accident, up to a maximum limit equal to 1% of the principal sum or<br />
S$1,500 whichever is lower.<br />
Permanent Total Disability<br />
When as the result of injury and commencing within 180 days from the date of the accident,<br />
the Assured is totally and permanently disabled and prevented from engaging in any<br />
occupation or gainful employment for wage, profit, compensation or from giving attention<br />
to any business, whatsoever, the company will pay, provided such disability has continued<br />
for a period of twelve consecutive months and is total, continuous and permanent at the<br />
end of this period, the principal sum is less any other amount paid or payable under this<br />
policy as the result of the same accident, in equal monthly instalments payable at the end<br />
of each month during such total and permanent disability, at the rate of 1% per month for<br />
not more than 100 months.<br />

Important Notes:<br />
• This insurance plan is underwritten by American International Assurance Company,<br />
Limited (<strong>AIA</strong>) and all applications are subject to <strong>AIA</strong>’s acceptance.<br />
• It is discouraged to switch between an existing accident and / or health insurance<br />
policy without considering whether the switch is detrimental, as there may be potential<br />
disadvantages with switching. A penalty may be imposed for early policy termination<br />
and the new policy may cost more or have less benefits at the same cost.<br />
• This brochure is not a contract of insurance. The precise terms and conditions of this<br />
plan are specified in the Policy Contract.<br />
