Due to the individual c<strong>on</strong>trol of each composting box <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the segmental air<br />

supply, it is possible to guarantee even <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> efficient drying. The relevant data<br />

such as heat quantity, temperature curve, <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> CO2 discharge are entered into<br />

the process c<strong>on</strong>trol as is the air permeability of the <strong>waste</strong>. In an optimum<br />

bioc<strong>on</strong>versi<strong>on</strong> process, the mass is reduced by up to 30% in <strong>on</strong>ly 6 days.<br />

The dried <strong>waste</strong> then has <strong>on</strong>ly a residual moisture c<strong>on</strong>tent of less than 12% <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

thus very <str<strong>on</strong>g>good</str<strong>on</strong>g> properties for the subsequent mechanical separati<strong>on</strong> treatment.<br />

The pre-treated <strong>waste</strong> is moved by a process crane to a buffer bunker equipped<br />

with a “walking floor” c<strong>on</strong>veyor. From here the <strong>waste</strong> is automatically<br />

transferred in batches to the separati<strong>on</strong> machinery.<br />
