The installati<strong>on</strong> has different opti<strong>on</strong>s for the h<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>ling of the sludge/product:<br />

‣ discharge of the mechanical dewatered sludge to c<strong>on</strong>tainers<br />

‣ producti<strong>on</strong> of partially dried granules with 65 – 90% dry substance<br />

‣ producti<strong>on</strong> of fully dried granules with 90% DS (main product route)<br />

The plant dries 3500 t<strong>on</strong>s/year of treated sludge <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the total cost of the drying<br />

facility is approximately 16 ooo ooo euros while the total sewage treatment<br />

plant facility cost is 42 000 000 euros. The final product without the excess<br />

moisture <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> without the polluting odors is transported to incinerators for<br />

burning.
