OUR BUSINESS PRACTICE<br />

Communications services and the telecommunications industry play an important role in social and economic<br />

development. That is why we have an obligation to conduct business with integrity, act according to our Code<br />

of Conduct and there<strong>for</strong>e contribute to an open business climate. At <strong>Telenor</strong> we believe that good corporate<br />

governance is an essential tool <strong>for</strong> achieving our vision, <strong>for</strong> creating values and strategic goals, <strong>for</strong> complying with<br />

our values and <strong>for</strong> maintaining good corporate culture. The Group Management is responsible <strong>for</strong> ensuring the<br />

existence of internal rules, procedures and structures that can efficiently secure value creation <strong>for</strong> all stakeholders<br />

and where authority and responsibilities are clearly defined and mutually understood. We try to identify how<br />

telecommunications can deliver environmental and social benefits to society, and to find tools aimed at minimizing<br />

risks in this area regarding the governance of the Company’s operations. This is why we pay attention to our<br />

responsibilities towards our employees, and responsible environmental and supply chain management.<br />

OUR EMPLOYEES<br />

<strong>Telenor</strong> d.o.o. employs 1,207 people with various backgrounds, a variety of skills and qualifications. Our employees<br />

are called on to challenge themselves, to take on tasks other than those that they have been trained <strong>for</strong>, and in this<br />

way discover new qualities and capacities.<br />

We are guided by professionalism, responsibility and respect. These values define how we work together, and how we<br />

treat our customers and partners. We aim to maintain a competent and diverse work<strong>for</strong>ce through engagement and<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance management, <strong>for</strong> the sake of the personal development of our employees and to support the evolution<br />

of our business in an ever-changing environment. An employee opinion survey is conducted every year. This was the<br />

third year in a row that we have organized this survey and we are proud to say that 96.3 percent of our employees<br />

participated in the survey this year. This way we will attempt to jointly identify all the fields that require improvement<br />

through additional work.<br />

Guided by the idea that the key to success is to climb the ladder as opposed to waiting <strong>for</strong> the elevator, we try to<br />

provide as much trainings as possible <strong>for</strong> our employees and there<strong>for</strong>e provide <strong>for</strong> their personal and professional<br />

advancement. In 2007 and <strong>2008</strong> we organized a wide range of trainings and educational programs, including:<br />

Leadership Training, Human Resources Management, Onboarding Training, Codes of Conduct, Communication<br />

Skills, etc.<br />
