PLACE IN THE HEART – SELECTING<br />
THE MOST RECOGNIZED CIVIC INITIATIVE PROJECT<br />
June <strong>2008</strong> – For a second year in a row, a <strong>Telenor</strong> Foundation representative was on the committee that selected the<br />
most enthusiastic civic initiatives “Place in the Heart” <strong>for</strong> 2007.<br />
The founder of this award is the Jefferson Institute and the award ceremony was first held in 2006. Due to huge<br />
public interest, the Institute established the Place in the Heart Fund to award organizations and groups dealing with<br />
the problems in their communities and bringing visible changes.<br />
The main award is traditionally symbolized by a wooden statue, the work of sculptor Nenad Vacic.<br />
THE TELENOR FOUNDATION, BLOOD<br />
TRANSFUSION INSTITUTE AND TV B92<br />
January <strong>2008</strong> – <strong>Telenor</strong> employees joined the blood donation campaign by the Blood Transfusion Institute and TV<br />
B92, and there<strong>for</strong>e contributed to stabilizing the blood reserves, which were significantly reduced during the<br />
winter period.<br />
