EUROPEAN YOUTH WEEK
eYouWins 2008
August 2008 – More than 110 young people from Serbia and 19 European countries took part in the European Youth
Week (eYouWins 2008) in Novi Sad, which was held for the third time. The organizers, the Creative Educational
Centre and the Faculty of Technical Sciences, encouraged young people to jointly explore the world around them,
recognize barriers and learn how to overcome them. The Festival was organized in three parts – educational (People,
Let’s Talk!), creative (People, Let’s Create!) and entertainment (People, Let’s Party!). eYouWins 2008 was supported
by the OSCE Mission in Serbia, the Executive Council of the AP Vojvodina, the University of Novi Sad, the Telenor
Foundation, the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company and ERSTE Bank.
TELENOR FOUNDATION AND THE RED CROSS OF SERBIA
Telenor Foundation covered the travel expenses for the Red Cross of Serbia on its way to the European First Aid
Competition. For the second year in a row, the team of the Red Cross of Serbia won first place and the title of
European Champion (in 2006 in Italy and in 2007 in Ireland). The European competition of first aid teams was held
in Liverpool, Great Britain, with the participation of 28 national teams from Europe. This event, the largest of its kind,
brings together first-aid experts, Red Cross volunteers and observers.
