November 2008 – The third job fair for students and graduates of the technical facilities, JobFair 07, was held on
November 3-4, 2007, at the Reception Room of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, under the slogan
“Create Your Future”.
The goal of this event was to help students and graduates find the job they want or internship opportunities at some
of the companies that are successfully operating in Serbia. Students had the opportunity to enter their information in
an electronic database, or submit it personally to company representatives. By connecting students with employers
in Serbia, JobFair actively works towards preventing brain-drain and directly contributes to reducing unemployment
among young people.
Forty-two companies took part in this expo, and an analysis showed that around 4,000 students and graduates
attended the Fair.
MORE THAN 1,500 STUDENTS AT ELEKTRIJADA
May 2008 – The Telenor Foundation, as the general sponsor, took part in the organization of International Games
of Electrical Engineering Students, the largest regional competition in 15 scientific disciplines and practical
projects. The Games were held in Bosnia and Herzegovina and more than 1,500 students from the School of
Electric Engineering and other related faculties participated in this event. The Elektrijada program also included
workshops, lectures, student presentations, as well as the traditional program organized in collaboration with the
Nikola Tesla Museum.
After the successfully organized games, Telenor Foundation and Student Union of the School of Electrical
Engineering organized a cocktail for the sponsors and friends of the Elektrijada, which took place at the Telenor
Expo Center. Telenor and School of Electrical Engineering representatives, sponsors, partners of Elektrijada and
many students attended this event.
