EDUCATION AND YOUTHS
The Telenor Foundation focuses special attention on youths, and
invests in talented people in Serbia, their education and professional
advancement. The Foundation launches and realizes special
programs, seminars, lectures and scholarships aimed at educating
and advancing young experts in fields relevant for Telenor’s activities.
Pursuing these targets we continue to maintain a strategic
partnership with one of the most significant scientific-research
centers for young people in South East Europe – the Petnica
Research Center. In order to provide support for future experts
in what is our core business, we have also established an award
for contributions in telecommunications, named after our most
prominent telecommunications expert, Prof. Ilija Stojanović. We
create environmentally friendly playgrounds and collaborate with the
People’s Office of the President of the Republic in its projects aimed
at improving education conditions. We wish for young students to get
involved in business and to be aware of how companies operate. That
is why we provide support for student camps and provide resources
for their research work and exchange programs.
