6 EASY STEPS
TO YOUR NEW PATIO
Your simple step-by-step guide for creating your perfect patio
Follow this six step process and you will have a trouble free journey to achieving the patio or garden transformation that you have set your
heart on. Remember this is not an area where most people have any expertise, so you must seek the best expert advice. Do this, and your
project should be successfully installed with the minimum of disruption, on time and on budget.
Step 1
Finding yourself a good Installer is essential, ideally one Marshalls
recommend. Remember you will rely on their advice, expertise and
craftsmanship, so plan early. Good Installers are in demand and will need
some notice.
Step 2
Talk through your own ideas with the Installers. They will tell you what
is feasible and should contribute their own ideas and recommendations.
Through this discussion you will judge whether they are someone you can
work with.
Step 4
Take your time to select the best product you can afford. These are
hardwearing, quality products that you will be living with for years. This
brochure is packed with choice but seek the advice of your contractor or
local stockist who has many years experience of installing products and
will keep you on track.
Step 5
The best contractors will advise on the necessary drainage and the subbase
beneath your patio. Do not overlook this, the drainage and water
management from your patio must comply with current regulations.
Step 3
Get more than one quotation and in writing; make sure they quote like for
like. The cheapest isn’t always the best. Choose the contractor who you
feel will deliver what you need. Ask to see examples of their work, even
talk to their former customers.
Step 6
Marshalls Installers want you to be fully satisfied with their work and will
not expect full payment until completed to your satisfaction.

Eco Sleepers
Manufactured mainly from Northern European Hardwood taken only from
sustainable sources. Kiln-dried and pressure treated to Use Class 4 (Ground
contact) and certified accordingly. Further treated with Creol, the pressure
treated timber takes on an even, rich/dark brown colour which has excellent
colour durability plus water repellent properties to enhance weathering
protection and improve dimensional stability.
