Outcomes Assessment Activities<br />
• The program will keep a portfolio for each AIM<br />
major and minor containing a record of achievement,<br />
showing improvement in intellectual skills,<br />
knowledge and capacities between entrance and<br />
graduation.<br />
• Required courses are monitored to assure that<br />
quality of content and delivery is maintained to a<br />
high standard.<br />
• A National Advisory Committee meets to assess<br />
and offer advice to the program faculty and<br />
students regarding the quality of the AIM program.<br />
• Graduate placement within the area of study is<br />
monitored.<br />

The major in civil engineering technology leads to a<br />
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology<br />

Program Goals<br />
The goal of the Civil Engineering Technology (CET)<br />
program at <strong>Colorado</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong>-<strong>Pueblo</strong> is to<br />
provide an integrated educational experience so that<br />
its graduates are:<br />
• Competent in solving civil engineering problems,<br />
meet the needs of industry, and become successful<br />
individuals as civil engineering practitioners<br />
and in endeavors outside the field of civil<br />
engineering;<br />
• Have sufficient knowledge and understanding<br />
of the principles of engineering sciences, mathematics,<br />
engineering graphics, and computer<br />
applications that provide the foundation of the civil<br />
engineering technology and on which they can<br />
continue to build their technical knowledge and<br />
expertise; and<br />
• Have a quality general education including<br />
literature, humanities, and social sciences to help<br />
them become well-rounded individuals and<br />
committed to sustaining a life-long pursuit of<br />
knowledge, continuous improvement and<br />
professional success.<br />
An additional program goal is to maintain accreditation<br />
as defined by the Technology Accreditation Commission<br />
of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and<br />
Technology.<br />
