Additional Information<br />

The Department of Music Student Handbook is<br />

intended as a supplement to the <strong>University</strong> <strong>Catalog</strong><br />

and is binding in all matters relating to the Department<br />

of Music at <strong>Colorado</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong>-<strong>Pueblo</strong>. A copy<br />

of the handbook may be found on the <strong>University</strong><br />

Department of Music website, and printed copies are<br />

located in the Music office (A/M 175) and in all music<br />

faculty offices.<br />

The <strong>Colorado</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong>-<strong>Pueblo</strong> Department of<br />

Music is an accredited member of the National<br />

Association of Schools of Music.<br />

NON-PROFIT ADMINISTRATION<br />

MINOR<br />

The Minor in Non-Profit Administration is a multidisciplinary<br />

program designed for students wanting to<br />

pursue careers in non-profit organizations that include<br />

the arts, human services, recreation, chambers of<br />

commerce, civic efforts, and health care. A variety of<br />

suggested electives allows student to focus their<br />

coursework toward the type of non-profit career they<br />

desire. MCCNM 370, Nonprofit Organizations and<br />

Communication, is the only required course in the<br />

minor. Other core courses allow for student choice, as<br />

do the electives. An internship in a nonprofit organization<br />

is also required and can be coordinated with the<br />

student’s major area of study.<br />

are required to earn 12 credits, but can choose<br />

additional electives. The required 12 credits can fall<br />

however, students may only use 6 credits from their<br />

major. No general education or other minor courses<br />

can be double-counted. Some courses may require<br />
