Purpose of Job
The Group Finance Director's role is to direct and oversee all of the financial activities and to
provide sound financial guidance to management and the Boards.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Boards in the achievement of company objectives by providing advice
and guidance on financial strategy in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
• Oversee all accounting procedures, financial transactions and systems used by the
Company.
• Provide timely, informative management information which can be used to monitor
business performance and make recommendations on actions.
• Preparing annual financial statements, tax returns and required regulatory returns as
well as overseeing the external audit process and ensuring all regulatory requirements
are met regarding the Group's financial affairs.
• Effective management of a team of 46 Finance employees across multiple
jurisdictions and across different service lines.
• Contribute to the preparation of the Group's strategic plan.
• Establishment, implementation and monitoring of Group Finance polices and
procedures incorporating both accounting policies, and internal procedural controls.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The role directly manages a team of seven people in different jurisdictions.
Reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer.

Competencies
• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA qualified) with 8 or more years PQE;
• Experience of leading a team across multiple jurisdictions and time zones;
• Commercially astute, strategic thinker with sound judgement. Excellent analytical,
communication and influencing skills;
• Energetic, decisive, team player with strong general management and leadership
skills. Engaged by and committed to Ogier’s core values; and
• Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting demands
from within the business and Group.
• Experience of working in a Partnership and understanding of the professional services
sector.
Department / Team
The Finance team is made up of 47 individuals providing support to the Ogier Group globally.
There are local finance teams in most of the firm’s locations with the Group function being
situated in Jersey.
