Pond Dipping In The Snipe Field<br />

Dip for water scorpions, pond skaters, tiny fish<br />

and all sorts of insect larvae. All equipment<br />

Bat Walk & Talk<br />

Look for and learn about Irish bats! After a talk<br />

in the Pumphouse at 8:30pm, we search for<br />

bats using detectors as they fly and feed after<br />

sundown. All ages welcome, bring head-torches<br />

and warm clothes. Park in Visitor Centre car<br />

park. You can leave at any time.<br />

Glen Turn Strand To Bride’s Head<br />

Beach<br />

Magnificent scenery and the ruins of old penal<br />

church and lime kiln. Panoramic views close to<br />

the coast with changing landscape. No need to<br />

go to the Ring of Kerry, we have it at our door<br />

step. Seals are a common sight. The walk is not<br />

suitable for buggies and children must be<br />

supervised at all times as short sections of the<br />

walk are along the cliffs. Good footwear and<br />

binoculars are recommended. Start from Glen<br />

turn car park on the southern end of the town,<br />

approx 500m past the Golf Club.<br />
