30-Year Old Two-Life Pavement Case Study

Observations:
• This project has surpassed its 20 year design life, and
continues to perform well.
• Pavement sections made up of a concrete layer laid
bonded to an econocrete layer, have generally shown
better performance than the standard design section (ie
Section 2).
• Pavement sections on stabilized subgrade have very little
or no cracking and better smoothness compared to
pavement sections on cement treated subgrade.
