Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd. shortly known as TRIFED
is a national level organization under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India, primarily
engaged in the development and marketing of tribal handicrafts and natural products. The main
mandate of TRIFED is capability enhancement of tribals, promotion of tribal products and
creation of marketing opportunities for the tribals with a view to ensuring them remunerative
prices for their products and augmenting their income on a sustainable basis. Towards
attainment of this mandate, TRIFED is poised for expansion of retail operations for marketing of
unique and ethnic tribal handicrafts and natural products in high end markets through a chain of
retail outlets called “TRIBES India showrooms” across the country besides international
marketing thereof and skill upgradation & capacity building of tribal artisans and gatherers of
Minor Forest Produce. TRIFED is also being entrusted with the task of implementation of the
proposed Central Government’s Minimum Support Price Scheme for selected Minor Forest
Produce. The organization, with its Headquarters at New Delhi, operates through its 13
Regional Offices and a wide network of Retail Outlets called “TRIBES India” located across the
country, details thereof are given in TRIFED’s website: www.tribesindia.com. (expanding
every year).
In order to meet the challenging responsibilities, TRIFED is looking for dynamic, experienced
and motivated candidates with the right attitude for serving tribal cause and who are willing to

The eligibility criteria & other terms and conditions for the above posts are

Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000 (PB-4) with grade pay of Rs.8700/-. Other
allowances like dearness allowance, house rent allowance and transportation
allowance are admissible as per the Central Govt. pattern and other fringe
benefits as per TRIFED’s rules.
For Direct Recruitment:
Age limit: 45-50 years.
Educational Qualification and Experience: Master Degree in
Management with specialization in finance stream or equivalent Post Graduate 2
years full time Diploma in Management with specialization in finance stream;
from recognized university/ institute or C.A./ICWA; or equivalent professional
qualification ;from recognized university/ institute.
Minimum 15 years’ experience in senior positions in organization(s) of repute in
the area of finance & accounts.
For Recruitment through deputation:
Candidate(s) must be holding equivalent/analogous post/ pay scale in the
Central Govt. Depts./ State Govt. Depts./ National-State level Cooperative
Corporations/Federations/ Public Sector undertakings (Central/State); or holding
post in the pay scale equivalent / analogous to the Central Govt’s pay scale of
Rs.15600-39100+Rs.7600 in the Central Govt. Depts./ State Govt. Depts./
National-State Level Cooperative Corporations/ Federations/PSUs with atleast
10 years’ service in that post/ grade.

Management with specialization in marketing or equivalent Post Graduate 2
years full time Diploma in Management with specialization in marketing/;Foreign
Trade; from recognized university/institute. .
Minimum 12 years’ experience in senior positions in organization(s) of repute in
the area of marketing/exports/merchandising of arts and crafts
items/developments/agro-forest based value added products.
For Recruitment through deputation:
Candidate(s) must be holding equivalent/analogous post/ pay scale in the
Central Govt. Depts./ State Govt. Depts./ National-State level Cooperative
Corporations/Federations/ Public Sector undertakings (Central/State); or holding
post in the pay scale equivalent / analogous to the Central Govt’s pay scale of
Rs.15600-39100+Rs.7600 in the Central Govt. Depts./ State Govt. Depts./
National-State Level Cooperative Corporations/ Federations/PSUs with atleast 8
years’ service in that post/ grade.

Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs.5400/-. Other
allowances like dearness allowance, house rent allowance and transportation
allowance are admissible as per the Central Govt. pattern and other fringe
benefits as per TRIFED’s rules.
Age limit: 21-30 years.
Note: Upper age limit relaxable upto 45 years in the case of departmental
candidates(only regular employees of TRIFED) having the requisite educational
qualification and experience with assessment of performance based on ACRs.

c) For HR Function personnel:
Desirable Qualification: Masters’Degree in Management with specialization in
Personnel stream or equivalent Post Graduate 2 years full time Diploma in
Management with specialization in personnel stream or MSW equivalent degree;
from recognized university/institute.
Experience: Minimum 01 year experience in organization of repute in the areas
of HR/Personnel and Administration.
d) For Project Mode activities personnel:

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in reputed organizations/
departments in the relevant field; preferably in the areas of
marketing/exports/merchandising of arts & crafts items and agro-forest based
value added products/socio-economic development projects/value addition
projects computer operation/finance & accounts/personnel & administration.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 (PB-1) with grade pay of Rs.1900/-. Other
allowances like dearness allowance, house rent allowance and transportation
allowance are admissible as per the Central Govt. pattern and other fringe
benefits as per TRIFED’s rules.
Age limit: 21-30 years.
Educational Qualification:
Essential qualification: Graduate or equivalent qualification. Should have
working knowledge of computers. For Jr.Accounts Assistant, Degree should be
in Commerce.
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.

Other instructions & terms and conditions :-
1. All candidates whether in Govt. service or in Govt. owned industrial or other similar
organisations or in private employment, should submit their applications Online
directly to TRIFED through its Website: www.tribesindia.com. Candidates who
are employed in Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous bodies/
Cooperative Societies and applying for appointment on direct recruitment basis, will
have to produce No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview.
2. Candidates applying for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 for appointment on deputation basis will
also have to forward print out of the application through their employer alongwith the
following information/documents, so as to reach the same on or before 17.12.2012 :-
i. photocopies of the CR dossiers for the last 5 years duly attested by an officer
not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent;
ii. cadre clearance ;
iii. current vigilance clearance report and integrity certificate;
iv. list of major/minor penalties imposed on the officer, if any, during the last 10
years.
3. Closing date for submission of Online Application through the Website is 23.59 Hrs. on
17.12.2012 after which the link will be disabled.
4. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and
summarily rejected.
5. Date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the
prescribed closing date for submission of online recruitment application.
6. After submitting the Online Application, the candidates are not required to send
any Document or Certificate or Print out of the Application initially to TRIFED
except those applying for on deputation basis for the posts at Sr.No.1&2.
However, candidates called for Written-Test/Group Discussion/ Interview shall
have to produce the original Documents/ Certificates and print out of the
Application, duly signed, alongwith attested copies of such
Documents/Certificates and passport size photograph, at the time of written
test/interview. Therefore, candidates should essentially retain the print out of the
Online Application. Candidates called for written test/interview should bring a
valid identity proof.
7. Method of selection :
i) Selection of candidate(s) for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 will be done through
interview to be conducted at Head Office of TRIFED at New Delhi;
ii) Selection of candidates for the post at Sr.No.3 will be done through Written Testcum-Group
Discussion followed by Interview to be conducted at TRIFED’s Head Office,
New Delhi;
iii) Selection of candidates for the posts at Sr.Nos.4 to 6 will be done through a
Common Written Test to be conducted region-wise; at (i) Delhi (for Northern Region);
(ii) Bhopal (for Central and Eastern Region), (iii) Guwahati (for North-Eastern Region),
(iv) Mumbai (for Western Region), (v) Bangalore (for Southern Region). Candidates
applying for these posts should indicate their choice of Centre for written test, in
the application.
8. No Travelling Allowance will be admissible for attending written test at the respective
centres.
9. Candidates shortlisted and called for Interview will be paid rail fare from the nearest
Railway Station of the place indicated in the interview letter to the nearest Railway
Station of the place of interview by the shortest route as per the rules of TRIFED i.e.

A.C-III tier to & fro rail fare to candidate called for posts at Sr.No.1,2 & 3 and second
class to & fro rail fare to the posts at Sr.No.4,5 & 6.
10. Candidates shortlisted for Written Test/Written Test-cum-Group Discussion/Interview will
be intimated by email about date, time and venue of written test/interview. While the
Federation sent the print-out of the such email communication to respective candidates
by post, but it can not take the responsibility for delivering the hard copy of the
communication. Therefore, the candidates are advised to keep checking the status of
their application from the website of TRIFED.
11. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
12. All qualifications should be full-time regular course from University/Institute which are
duly recognized by the competent authorities/Govt. .
13. Reservation in recruitment for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories shall be
applicable as per the Govt. of India’s instructions and guidelines.
14. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC
candidates. Additional relaxation of (a) 5 years for PH candidates is admissible for
posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 i.e, relaxation in upper age limit will be by 5 years for General PH
candidates, by 10 years for SC/ST PH candidates and by 8 years for OBC PH
candidates.; and (b) 10 years for PH candidates is admissible for posts at Sr.No.3 to 6
i.e, relaxation in upper age limit will be by 10 years for General PH candidates, by 15
years for SC/ST PH candidates and by 13 years for OBC PH candidates.
15. Depending on the requirement, TRIFED reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/
enlarge the number of vacancies, if needs so arise, without any further notice and
without assigning any reasons thereof.
16. Candidates must be willing to serve in the remotest parts of the country.
17. Candidates to be appointed to the aforesaid post in TRIFED are liable to be transferred
and posted at any place in India or abroad in the interest of the organization.
18. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories will have to produce the original
Certificate issued by the Competent Authority alongwith the attested copies, at the time
of interview.
19. While applying for any post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility
and other norms mentioned above, as on the specified dates and that the particulars
furnished are correct in all respects. In case, it is detected at any stage of recruitment
that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any
incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature
will stand automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/are detected
even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated without any notice.
20. The mere fact that a candidate has submitted application against advertisement and
apparently fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed in the advertisement would not
bestow on him/her the right to be called for Written Test/Written Test-cum-Group
Discussion/ Interview and considered for further selection process.

advertisement and/or in application in response thereto can be instituted only in Delhi
