significant sample in this respect is represented by Our Yap Youth involvement with the Fire Division for
training and fire prevention activities (Wild Land Fire Initiative).
• The Government is perceived as very supportive of Youth Organizations, although it is still exercising a
strong control over their activities.
Critical aspects were highlighted that may affect the final achievement of the Goal:

Recommendations were made to support the achievement of the Goal:
• The links suggested in the “Links with over sectors” section should be further explored to promote a more
effective social action and cohesion to tackle existing and emerging social problems.
• Training may be needed to introduce networking and cooperative skills between the different
stakeholders involved in Gender activities understood as the relation between horizontal categories such
as, for example, women and youth.

Positive aspects towards the achievement of the Goal:
• Since 2009 Youth Organizations are consistently emerging. Starting from the First Youth Summit in 2009,
the youth became more aware of its role into political and social dynamics. In 2010 another Youth Summit
was held and Our Yap Youth was established. Our Yap Youth represents the first time that the youth tided
together under one organization.
