Basel, Switzerland – March 24, <strong>2011</strong> — <strong>Wenger</strong>, Maker of the Genuine Swiss Army Knife, is proud<br />
to announce the launch of its <strong>2011</strong> w<strong>at</strong>ch line this week <strong>at</strong> the <strong>BaselWorld</strong> Fair. This exciting line of<br />
31 new models, highlighted by <strong>Wenger</strong>’s largest offering of women’s w<strong>at</strong>ches in years, reflects the core<br />
<strong>at</strong>tributes th<strong>at</strong> have served as the company’s found<strong>at</strong>ion – Swiss craftsmanship, multi-functionality,<br />
and innov<strong>at</strong>ion. The line is accented with a blend of aesthetically pleasing appointments th<strong>at</strong> make<br />
each of these w<strong>at</strong>ches not only eye-c<strong>at</strong>ching accessories, but also highly functional timepieces. The<br />
<strong>2011</strong> w<strong>at</strong>ch collection introduces a wide variety of innov<strong>at</strong>ive new designs, color and styles, one of<br />
<strong>Wenger</strong>’s most diverse and impressive lines in recent years.<br />
WENGER SQUADRON<br />
A timepiece dedic<strong>at</strong>ed to the Search & Rescue squadron pilots worldwide, the Squadron line is a vital<br />
tool for the dedic<strong>at</strong>ed airmen who are always prepared to assist. Available in two technical<br />
configur<strong>at</strong>ions, Chronograph and GMT, the Squadron is fitted with a unidirectional rot<strong>at</strong>ing bezel,<br />
which allows the wearer to gauge elapsed time or make the next change of heading. The 12-hour<br />
chronograph version offers functions such as an accented start and stop pusher while the GMT version<br />
allows globetrotters to keep track of their “home base”, with second time zone capabilities. The<br />
Squadron, which has been assembled with enhanced night visibility, is well equipped to handle any task<br />
while also serving as a gre<strong>at</strong> casual timepiece for work or leisure. The Squadron is a true symbol of<br />
Swiss craftsmanship and eye-c<strong>at</strong>ching design and is available in either a white or a black dial, two<br />
models have PVD cases and silicone strap or solid stainless steel bracelet are offered. The collection<br />
has an MSRP range of US$325 - $550.
LADIES SPORT<br />
<strong>Wenger</strong> has gre<strong>at</strong>ly expanded its offering of women’s w<strong>at</strong>ches for <strong>2011</strong> with the addition of eleven<br />
multi-functional and stylish Ladies Sport w<strong>at</strong>ches.<br />
The introduction of <strong>Wenger</strong>’s Sport Elegance line is accented by the addition of five new w<strong>at</strong>ches<br />
incorpor<strong>at</strong>ing a mother-of-pearl dial, alpine crystals on unidirectional bezel and dial and sapphire<br />
crystal, designed to be functional as well as feminine. These sleek go-anywhere, go-anytime w<strong>at</strong>ches<br />
are offered in a variety of colors, bands, dials and bracelets, making them look gre<strong>at</strong> with denim or<br />
silk. The Sport Elegance w<strong>at</strong>ches have an MSRP of US$400.<br />
The Ladies Sport Chrono line has expanded to include a model with a black dial and bezel and the<br />
option of either a stainless steel bracelet with butterfly deployment or a black le<strong>at</strong>her strap. The new<br />
Ladies Sport Chrono models fe<strong>at</strong>ure 30-minute chronographs, mother-of-pearl dials, luminous hands<br />
and a 36 mm case protected by sapphire crystal, continuing <strong>Wenger</strong>’s dedic<strong>at</strong>ion to manufacturing<br />
multi-functional timepieces for women. The Ladies Sport Chrono w<strong>at</strong>ches have an MSRP range of<br />
US$450 - $500.<br />
<strong>Wenger</strong> has expanded the Ladies Sport collection by adding three new models for <strong>2011</strong>, offering a<br />
wide range of multi-faceted styles and prices. True to the Swiss-made brand, the three new w<strong>at</strong>ches<br />
retain the multi-functional characteristics while also adding the aesthetic options, including one model<br />
with 18k gold pl<strong>at</strong>ed accents on the bezel and bracelet as well as alpine crystals on the bezel. Each of
the new models fe<strong>at</strong>ure alpine crystal markers on a mother-of-pearl dial protected by sapphire crystals<br />
and comes with either a stainless steel bracelet or white le<strong>at</strong>her strap. The Ladies Sport collection has<br />
a MSRP range of US$225 - $400<br />
COMMANDO DAY DATE XL<br />
<strong>Wenger</strong> has added three <strong>2011</strong> models to its highly popular Commando Day D<strong>at</strong>e XL line. Two new<br />
models fe<strong>at</strong>ure a black PVD-co<strong>at</strong>ed case with black silicone strap and are accented in either green or<br />
white markers and hands. The other new model fe<strong>at</strong>ures a brown sunray dial with brown le<strong>at</strong>her strap<br />
and white numerals. Each has a Swiss quartz movement, is w<strong>at</strong>er resistant to 100m and comes with a<br />
day/d<strong>at</strong>e display. The Commando Day D<strong>at</strong>e XL line has a MSRP ranging from US$200 - $250.<br />
BATTALION® FIELD CHRONO<br />
<strong>Wenger</strong>’s heralded B<strong>at</strong>talion Field Chrono family adds two new impressive timepieces for <strong>2011</strong>.<br />
Each fe<strong>at</strong>ures the multi-functionality <strong>Wenger</strong> is known for including a tachymeter for measuring speed<br />
over a known distance, a 12-hour chronograph th<strong>at</strong> measures elapsed hours, minutes and seconds, d<strong>at</strong>e<br />
display and w<strong>at</strong>er-resistance up to 100m. These w<strong>at</strong>ches are a perfect blend of <strong>Wenger</strong>’s commitment<br />
to precision Swiss craftsmanship and functionality. <strong>Wenger</strong> has incorpor<strong>at</strong>ed two new color<br />
combin<strong>at</strong>ions for an added aesthetic appeal and outfitted them silicone rubber straps. The B<strong>at</strong>talion<br />
Field Chrono now offers the option of a black dial with either blue or red accents on the chronograph
dials accompanied with a red bezel and silver accents or black bezel with blue accents respectively.<br />
The new B<strong>at</strong>talion Field Chrono has an MSRP of US$375.<br />
AEROGRAPH COCKPIT<br />
The Aerograph series, with its avi<strong>at</strong>ion-instrument<strong>at</strong>ion-themed styling, has been a mainstay in<br />
<strong>Wenger</strong>’s line since its debut in 2009 and its l<strong>at</strong>est model is expected to continue this trend. The new<br />
30-minute chronograph model fe<strong>at</strong>ures a m<strong>at</strong>te black PVD case, with a NATO green dial and green<br />
silicone strap. It is the perfect timepiece for those looking for unique design in a multi-functional<br />
w<strong>at</strong>ch. It also fe<strong>at</strong>ures luminous hands, numerals and markers and has an MSRP of $400.<br />
OTHER ADDITIONS TO THE <strong>2011</strong> COLLECTION<br />
<strong>Wenger</strong> has also added new models in other key lines across the <strong>2011</strong> collection. The Terragraph and<br />
Standard Issue lines now both offer a men’s w<strong>at</strong>ch with a black dial and brown le<strong>at</strong>her strap while the<br />
Standard Issue now fe<strong>at</strong>ures a ladies w<strong>at</strong>ch with a silver dial and stainless steel bracelet.<br />
