‣ Johnson moved into fourth place on the team’s single-season receiving<br />
yards list. He became the first player in team history with two<br />
1,300-yard seasons.<br />
‣ By registering 80 receptions, 1,300 yards and 10 TDs (season totals<br />
were 96 for 1,681 yards and 13 TDs), Johnson has joined Wr Herman<br />
Moore (123 for 1,686 and 16 TDs) as the only players in team history<br />
to tally those numbers in a single season.<br />
‣ Johnson moved his career total touchdown total to 48, and he moved<br />
past rB Billy sims (47, 1980-84) for third all-time in team history,<br />
‣ finished with 4 catches for 102 yards and 1 touchdown vs. san Diego<br />
(12/24). He started the game off on the first offensive play with a 46-<br />
yard reception. With 0:31 left in the second quarter, Johnson caught a<br />
14-yard touchdown pass from stafford to give the lions a 24-0 lead<br />
heading into the half.<br />
‣ Johnson’s touchdown reception was his 15th of the season, which tied<br />
the team single-season record set previously by e Cloyce Box in 1952.<br />
‣ Johnson caught 11 passes (career high) for 244 yards and had 1<br />
touchdown catch at Green Bay in the 2011 finale. His 244 receiving<br />
yards re-set his career high established two weeks prior when he had<br />
214 at oakland (12/18/11). His 11 receptions against Green Bay were<br />
also a new career single-game high.<br />
‣ With 244 receiving yards in a game, it marked the third-highest tally<br />
by a lions receiver in team history and the most since Wr richard<br />
Johnson had 248 yards vs. New orleans 12/3/89. Johnson became only<br />
the second player in team history (e Cloyce Box), and first to do so in<br />
the same season, to record two 200-yard receiving games.<br />
‣ 11 receptions by Johnson were the most by a lions receiver since Wr<br />
Mike furrey had 11 catches at Dallas 12/31/06.<br />
‣ With a 13-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to put the<br />
lions up 16-10 at Green Bay, Johnson set the team’s all-time singleseason<br />
record for touchdown receptions (16). He broke the previous<br />
record of 15 set by e Cloyce Box in 1952.<br />
COLLEGE<br />
Johnson was a two-time all-american who claimed the 2006 Biletnikoff<br />
award (nation’s top receiver) and 2006 aCC Conference Player of the year.<br />
He was named first team all-aCC three-straight years (2004-06), and was<br />
the first player in Georgia Tech history to earn that honor. in 38 games, he<br />
set school records with 2,927 yards receiving and 28 touchdown receptions<br />
and ranked second in Georgia Tech history with 178 career receptions.<br />
‣ Named aCC Player of the year. Just the second junior (fsU’s Charlie<br />
Ward, 1992) in the last 25 years to win the aCC Player of the year award.<br />
‣ as a senior, tied for second in the nation with a 15 touchdown catches,<br />
a Georgia Tech record.<br />
‣ Career-best 168 yards receiving on nine receptions in win at N.C. state,<br />
including two touchdowns. Caught touchdown passes of 25 and 43 yards<br />
in the first quarter, then set up the clinching touchdown with a 33-yard<br />
reception down to the 7-yard line late in the game.<br />
‣ in 2005, first-team all-america by the american football Coaches’<br />
association (afCa). also earned second-team all-america honors<br />
from associated Press and Walter Camp, as well as first-team accolades<br />
from rivals.com.<br />
‣ Unanimous first-team all-atlantic Coast Conference selection, earning<br />
all-aCC honors for the second straight year.<br />

most recruiting analysts while at sandy Creek (Tyrone, Ga.) High school.<br />

Constitution, and was Tabbed to the aJC’s preseason super 11.<br />
‣ Caught 40 passes for 736 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior. added<br />
34 receptions for 646 yards and 10 scores as a junior for two-year totals<br />
of 80 catches, 1,479 yards and 18 TDs.<br />
