‣ since 1950, Johnson’s 31 receptions in the month of october are a<br />
franchise-best. His 579 receiving yards rank second in october in<br />
team history, and his 5 receiving touchdowns are tied for third among<br />
lions receivers.<br />
‣ Johnson’s 658 receiving yards in 5 games played since the beginning of<br />
December are the third-highest tally in Nfl history for games played<br />

with a 15-yard reception from QB Matthew stafford, marking his 36th<br />
career touchdown reception. Johnson is now in sole possession of<br />
second place on the lions’ all-time career receiving touchdowns list.<br />

‣ His second touchdown of the game came on a 1-yard, fourth-down pass<br />
with 1:17 left in the third quarter. it marked the first time in his career<br />
he has scored 2 receiving touchdowns in six or more games. Johnson<br />
became the seventh player in lions history to record 2 receiving<br />
touchdowns in six or more games.<br />
‣ Johnson’s 2 touchdown passes from stafford in the game marked the<br />
second time in the season’s first two games that they connected for<br />
2 touchdowns. in the last three games that stafford had started and<br />
completed (including last year’s win vs. Washington 10/31/10), he had<br />
thrown 7 touchdown passes to Johnson.<br />
‣ recorded 7 receptions for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns in the lions’<br />
historic 26-23 overtime win at Minnesota (9/25) giving him 6 on the<br />
season. His 6 touchdowns were the most receiving scores by a lions’<br />
receiver in the first month of the season. The previous best was 5<br />
touchdown grabs by Wr leonard Thompson in september 1984. it was<br />
his third-straight game he caught 2 touchdowns on the year, making<br />
him the first player in Nfl history to start the season off by catching at<br />
least 2 touchdowns in each of the team’s first three games. He joins rB<br />
Mel farr (1970) and e Cloyce Box (1952) to score 2 receiving touchdowns<br />
in three-straight games.<br />
‣ against the Vikings’ marked his seventh career game of at least 2<br />
touchdowns, and he became he fourth player in lions history with seven<br />
games of 2 or more receiving touchdowns. He is tied with e Cloyce Box<br />
(7, 1949-50, 52-54) and Wr Terry Barr (7, 1957-65) for the second-most<br />
career games recording of at least 2 receiving touchdowns. Wr Herman<br />
Moore (1991-2001) holds the franchise record with 9.<br />
‣ His 2 scores of 32 and 5 yards respectively fueled the lions’ comeback,<br />
but it was his 40-yard over-the-shoulder, highlight reel catch in overtime<br />
to set up the lions’ field goal that gave them the victory.<br />
‣ He also had 2 catches against the Vikings of 25+ yards, including a<br />
32-yarder to put the lions on the board in the second half and the<br />
40-yard grab in overtime to move the ball down to the 14-yard line.<br />
With the performance, he reached 41 career receptions of 25+-yards,<br />
and 35 since the beginning of the 2008 season.<br />
‣ Moved career total touchdowns to 40 (39 receiving and 1 rushing) to<br />
become fifth player in team history with 40 total touchdowns.<br />
‣ recorded 2 fourth quarter touchdowns in the lions’ 24-point comeback<br />
at Dallas (10/2). finished with a team leading 8 receptions for 96 yards<br />
and 2 touchdowns. His 2 scores gave him a streak of four-straight<br />
games with 2+ receiving touchdowns. He joined Vikings Wr Cris Carter<br />
(1995) as the only receivers in Nfl history to record 2 touchdown<br />
catches in four-straight games, and was the first player to accomplish<br />
this feat in the season’s first four games. With Johnson’s 40th career<br />
touchdownscatch he became the second player in lions history to record<br />
40 career receiving touchdowns (Wr Herman Moore 62, 1991-2001).<br />
‣ The last time a lions player scored touchdowns in four consecutive<br />
games was Wr roy Williams who registered a five-game stretch to<br />
end the 2006 season and begin the 2007 season and was the first lions<br />
player to register touchdowns in four-straight games in the same season<br />
since Moore had a four-game stretch in 1998.<br />
‣ in the lions 24-13 win over Chicago on Monday Night football, he gave<br />
the lions a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter on a 73-yard pass from<br />
QB Matthew stafford. it was Johnson’s ninth touchdown reception of the<br />
season. He became the first player in Nfl history with nine touchdown<br />
receptions through the first five games of the season. The 73-yard pass<br />
play was the longest of the season for the lions.<br />
‣ Johnson’s 73-yard touchdown reception was his fifth career reception<br />
of 70+ yards. He tied Wr leonard Thomson (5) for the most 70+-yard<br />
receptions in team history.<br />
‣ Johnson caught 5 passes for 130 yards with one touchdown, and he<br />
surpassed 100 yards for the 15th time in his career. He now is tied with<br />
Wr Terry Barr (15, 1957-65) for the third-most 100-yard receiving games<br />
in lions history. in the first half, he caught three passes for 100 yards.<br />
‣ finished with 7 receptions for 113 yards vs. san francisco (10/16),<br />
marking his third 100+-yard game of the season (third in the last<br />
four games). surpassed 300 career receptions on his first catch of the<br />
game, becoming the fastest to reach that mark (66 games) in lions<br />
history. also registered his 16th career 100-yard receiving game, the<br />
third-most in team history.<br />
‣ With his 10th touchdown reception vs. atlanta (10/23), Johnson<br />
became the first player in lions’ history with 10 touchdown catches<br />
in three different seasons. He also caught 12 touchdowns in 2008 and<br />
2010. He joined Wr Herman Moore as the only players in team history<br />
with 10 touchdown catches in back-to-back seasons. Moore had 11<br />
touchdowns in 1994 and 14 in 1995. Johnson became the sixth player<br />
in Nfl history with 10 touchdown receptions though the first 7 games<br />
of a season and first since Wr randy Moss had 10 through 7 games<br />
for New england in 2007.<br />
‣ With 5 receptions for 115 yards vs. the falcons, Johnson moved into<br />
fifth place on the lions’ all-time receiving list surpassing Hall of fame<br />
Te Charlie sanders (4,817, 1968-77). He also became the first lions’<br />
receiver with three-straight 100-yard games since Wr German Crowell<br />
in 1999. it was also the first time he’s registered 100 receiving yards<br />
in three-straight games.<br />
‣ recorded 6 catches for 125 yards and 1 touchdown at Denver (10/30).<br />
He caught a 56-yard pass from Matthew stafford down the left sideline.<br />
‣ He caught his 11th touchdown in the first eight games of the season<br />
on a 56-yard pass from QB Matthew stafford. Johnson joins Wr randy<br />
Moss as the only players since the 1970 Nfl-afl Merger to record 11<br />
touchdown receptions in the first eight games of the season.<br />
‣ By surpassing the 100-yard mark in receiving yards, Johnson had four<br />
straight 100-yard games, and was the first lions player to accomplish<br />
this feat since Wr Herman Moore in 1997. By reaching 100 receiving<br />
yards in the game, Johnson tied Wr Johnnie Morton for the secondmost<br />
100-yard receiving games in team history with 18.<br />
‣ He also passed Moore (4,895; 1991-95) for the most receiving yards<br />
in a player’s first five seasons with the team. Johnson reached 4,995<br />
career receiving yards.<br />
‣ recorded 7 catches for 81 yards at Chicago (11/13).<br />
‣ With a 17-yard catch on the first offensive play of the game at Chicago<br />
(11/13), Johnson surpassed 5,000 career receiving yards becoming the<br />
fifth player in franchise history to accomplish the feat.<br />
‣ He reached 5,000 yards faster than anybody else in team history<br />
(69 games). He was the first player to do it in their first five seasons<br />
with the club.<br />
‣ With his second reception vs. the Bears (11/13), he surpassed Wr<br />
Herman Moore for the second-most receptions for a lion in their first<br />
five seasons with the team.<br />
‣ Had 5 catches for 89 yards, including a leaping 30-yard grab over two<br />
defenders in the fourth quarter vs. Carolina (11/20). He also added a<br />
26-yard reception in the third quarter.<br />
‣ finished with 4 catches for 49 yards and a touchdown vs. Green Bay<br />
(11/24). He went over the 1,000 yard mark in the game marking the<br />
third time in his career he has registered 1,000 receiving yards in a<br />
single season. He became the first receiver in lions history to record<br />
1,000 receiving yards three times (1,331 in 2008 and 1,120 in 2010) in<br />
the first five seasons with the team.<br />
‣ By catching 12 touchdown passes in three of his first five Nfl seasons,<br />
Johnson joined Hall of famers Wr lance alworth and Wr Jerry rice<br />
as the only players in Nfl history with 12+ TD catches three times in<br />
their first five seasons.<br />
‣ He became the 10th player in Nfl history to record 12 touchdown<br />
receptions in three different seasons.<br />
‣ Johnson caught 6 passes for 69 yards at New orleans (12/4) and<br />
moved up a few spots on both the team’s career receiving yards and<br />
receptions list.<br />
‣ He moved past Wr Gail Cogdill (5,221; 1960-68) for fourth place and<br />
past Wr Brett Perriman (5,244; 1991-96) for third place on the team’s<br />
career receiving yards list. on his second reception of the game, Johnson<br />
surpassed past Wr Brett Perriman (334, 1991-95) for the most receptions<br />
by a lions receiver in their first five seasons with the team. He<br />
also passed Hall of fame Te Charlie sanders (336; 1968-77) for fifth<br />
place on the team’s career receptions list.<br />
‣ With 29 receiving yards vs. Minnesota (12/11), Johnson (1,121 yards)<br />
surpassed 1,100 yards on the season. He reached that mark for the third<br />
time in his career and for the first time in back-to-back seasons. Johnson<br />
and Moore are the only receivers in team history to reach 1,100 yards<br />
three times during their career with the lions, and Johnson became<br />
the first to do so three times in his first five seasons.<br />
‣ He had a career-high 214 yards on 9 catches and 2 TDs at oakland<br />
(12/18), including a game-winning 6-yard TD catch with 39 seconds<br />
left. He also caught a 51-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The 214<br />
receiving yards were the second-most in the league in 2011 and the<br />
most by an NfC receiver.<br />
‣ in addition to his 51-yard touchdown, he added a 48-yard catch to help<br />
set up the final touchdown. He finished with 5 catches of over 20 yards.<br />
‣ His 214 yards in the game rank third all-time in team history for receiving<br />
yards in a game, and that tally was the highest by a lions receiver since<br />
Wr richard Johnson had 248 vs. New orleans December 3, 1989. it was<br />
his first career 200-yard effort and his 19th career 100-yard receiving<br />
game. He moved past Wr Johnnie Morton (18, 1994-2001) for the<br />
second most in team history.<br />
‣ Johnson’s 2 touchdown receptions give him a career high with 14<br />
and he tied with Wr Herman Moore (14 in 1995) for the second-most<br />
single-season touchdown receptions in team history.<br />
‣ He reached 9 career games with 2+ touchdowns, which tied Moore for<br />
most in team history. it also marked the fifth game in 2011 with 2+
