8 Motor Configuration<br />

The motor usually is set up with the motor wizard, which sets all needed parameters.<br />

Therefore a detailed description of the parameters will follow in the future.<br />

8.1 Generic Motor Temperature Calculated<br />

For third parties motors a generic calculated motor temperature model is used to adapt the<br />

winding resistance and to detect excess temperature.<br />

The sum of all R defines the static power losses (consider also T W and T E ). With the<br />

capacitance the thermal time constant can be influenced. The bigger the thermal capacitance<br />

the slower the temperature will rise.<br />
