submit their proposals for joint training programmes in the region, via the Centre’s web site www.fbih.cest.gov.ba • Through its training activities, the Centre continued its collaboration with governmental and NGO institutions. We underscore our collaboration with the FBiH Ministry of Interior, reflected in their officers actively participating in the Centre’s training events. • The Director held a series of meetings with local and international representatives. The meeting with representatives of the European Commission covered implementation of the ТARMIS project, and several meetings with UNDP covered activities related to joint organisation of seminars on issues related to war crimes, as well as continuation of the Centre’s successful collaboration with UNDP on the ‘e-legislation’ project. Among other activities, we want to note the Director’s meetings with representatives of the HJPC BiH, representatives of АBА/CEELI, and a meeting with representatives of CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency), all for the purpose of planning training and other activities of the Centre in the forthcoming period. As of 2007, there will be an Internetbased search option for individual laws and other regulations, in a very user-friendly way. • On 3. August, a meeting was held at the Centre, with representatives of EUPM, in relation to continuation of the project aimed at improving collaboration between police forces and prosecutors, though joint training events. It was agreed that joint training activities would be included in the Centre’s annual work plan for 2007, and details would be specified in collaboration with the RS Ministry of Interior and prosecutors’ offices in RS. • On 7 September, the Director met with representatives of ICTP, on future collaboration and judges and prosecutors’ training needs in IT. • On 29 September, a meeting was held in Sarajevo with representatives of ABA/CEELI, which looked at the successes of collaboration thus far, as well as future activities of this organisation with the Centre. • An agreement in principle was reached that the 2007 programme should include several training events to include judges, prosecutors, and practicing lawyers, through three or five day seminars, and one train the trainers seminar. It was first decided on the number of special prosecutors. The appointment decision was made on 14 September 2006, and on 29 September, a solemn oath was given by the following judges, before the President of HJPC BiH, judge Branko Peric: ∗ Miodrag Bajic, Chief Special Prosecutor; ∗ Mahmut Svraka, Deputy Chief Special Prosecutor; ∗ Slobodan Celic, Special Prosecutor,; ∗ Zivana Bajic, Special Prosecutor; ∗ Slavko Savic, Special Prosecutor; ∗ Goran Glamocanin, Special Prosecutor.
