Recognizing a need for thermally conductive products which will conform<br />

well to irregular surfaces and fill larger gaps,<strong>Teknational</strong> offers a variety<br />

of materials to solve these problems.<br />

Medium/Firm Materials<br />

Some times there may be a small space between mismatched<br />

surfaces that must be filled. The TEK-SIL line includes two<br />

materials from .012" (.30mm) to .062" (1.57mm) thickness. Being<br />

somewhat softer in durometer and often thicker than the standard<br />

materials, these products conform well to mating surfaces for<br />

optimum heat transfer. They also protect assemblies from<br />

mechanical shock and absorb thermal expansion.<br />

TEK-SIL SA<br />

TEK-SIL SA is an unsupported, thermally conductive silicone<br />

rubber with high dielectric strength to protect against power<br />

surges. TEK-SIL SA conforms better than many thermally<br />

conductive materials while protecting assemblies from<br />

mechancial shock and absorbing thermal expansion.<br />
