SPORTING CLAYS
Well another year has passed, with all
the National Sporting shoots over once
again.
Thanks to TVDA, Maureen, and the
entire hard working club members who
had spent 100’s of hours making this an
event hard to improve on. We had four
different events over five days shooting,
and changing the fields after three
events in the relentless heat conditions
was big job.
Special thanks must go to Maureen for
her tireless work from start to finish,
along with thanks also to Dave Hanner,
Tony Coleman and Albie Hanson, for
the work setting up some of the best
targets seen for all of the events. Having
transport to the fields for the shooters
was a very big plus, and also helped
keep the events on time.
One helpful thing in organizing the
event and has been in the past, is the
postal entries. This helped getting each
day started on time. 19 squads entered
this way which was fantastic.
Once again thanks to Martyn Coe
(Beretta) for the 2 shotguns they
sponsored over the events, and also to
Geoff Wells (Kilwell/Gamebore) for their
sponsorship over all the events. Also
with TVDA adding in the extra prizes
