Generous donations came from Catriona Le May Doan and Southern Music. Carma Developers once again supported the Olympic Oval High Performance Female Hockey program with a major contribution raised through their annual golf tournament. EnCana sponsored the second annual Battle of the Border hockey series featuring the Oval X-Treme and the US Selects. This program is a major fund raiser for the Olympic Oval High Performance Female Hockey program. The Olympic Oval Finale was taken to a new level in 2006 with major financial support from ING Insurance and Conematic Heating Systems Inc. For the first time ever, the ING Olympic Oval Finale had a world record prize purse of over $30,000.
